Description

This is an original Delco “spiral” shock with the following stamps on the shock:
538F 3. 5G6/0XRPI.25
DELCO PRODUCTS
DAYTON . OHIO U.S.A.
3 A 54 5520278
In front of the “3” of the last line above is an “indented” rectangular box. We are unable to tell if their is a number, letter, or anything, in this rectangular box.
Shock has some very shallow pitting (0.001″ to 0.10″) on the lower 1/3. It opens and closes with some effort so, it still has usability. Threads are fine and not damaged. The outer case has no dents. A great survivor piece as is, and can be Original if you are having your car judged with a reconditioning and some paint.
