Description
- Original PN for a 68 actuator was 5638316, which fit both sides because the curved tube bent the same way & was ~1/4 high off of the actuator.
- The July 1970 GM manual shows this part changed to 5638464 in July 1968.
- Given parts manuals lag production changes by about 6 months, these are 68L-70E actuators.
- The tubes bend left & right, for the right & left side espectively &, are also ~1/4″ high off the actuator.
- In 1970, GM changed this # to 5638541 which also had the curved tube bending left & right for the left & right side BUT, the tube was ~ 3/8″ high off the actuator.
- Actuator 5638541 & 5638542 is correct for 70L-82.
